Karim Bothen is the agency group’s new Director Business Development

Hamburg, June 2, 2022 – The JOM Group, an agency for hybrid marketing communications, has filled another management position: As Director Business Development, Karim Bothen will be responsible for expanding existing customer relationships and acquiring new customers across all locations. With his holistic understanding of communication and marketing, the 36-year-old will also head the agency’s Munich office. Together with the management team and the account managers, Bothen will work on the service portfolio and new communication concepts as part of the strategic and operational development of the agency group. In close cooperation with the sales team, he also provides fresh impetus in the area of new business and is jointly responsible for new business processes.

In 2010, Bothen started his career as a junior account manager at the media agency MEC (now Wavemaker), where he learned the media business from scratch. After holding various positions at well-known media agencies, he most recently worked for five years at TERRITORY Media. Here he was responsible for setting up the agency’s own new business department and creating the necessary structures and processes.

For Bothen, it was a matter of conviction that he would like to contribute his know-how to the JOM Group in the future: “I am very much looking forward to my new task at the JOM Group. Especially the philosophy of the agency with regard to transparency for the customers was one of the decisive points for me. At JOM Group, planning intelligence comes first. We are not a marketer of advertising inventory or space, and we can focus 100 percent on our clients’ interests or objectives. This approach is what drives me!”
